Esquivel! chronicles the life of piano prodigy Juan Garcia Esquivel from his childhood and early adult years in Mexico, through his move to New York City, to the 14-year stretch the Stardust Hotel in Las Vegas. A innovative musician, Esquivel was a pioneer in the stereophonics sound that was born in the 1950s. Funky artwork, inspired by ancient Mexican art, depict the fashions of the time and also the exciting sound that he created. He enjoyed international acclaim during the 1950s and 1960s, and also a resurgence of his music during the 1990s.
