The Garden of Abdul Gasazi

A little boy in search of his dog stumbles into the mysterious garden of a magician, where strange things happen. Beautiful black and white art bring this mysterious place to life with eerie effectiveness.

A captivating read that provides plenty of opportunity for discussion, The Garden of Abdul Gasazi is a Caldecott Honor Book in 1980.

“This is without question one of the best — and most original — picture books in years.” – The New York Times
