August 2017 Giveaway Book:

All the World

And the winner is Linda from Wisconsin, the recipient of August 2017’s Monthly Book Giveaway!

“All the world is all of us”

This big, beautiful hardcover edition is a 2010 Caldecott Honor Book for its totally gorgeous pencil and watercolor illustrations and charming hand-lettered text. Readers follow a family through various daily activities in story in verse format with vignettes, all followed by beautiful double-page spreads. This is one of those books that is deemed appropriate for 2 to 5 years, but is appreciated by older elementary school kids; my girls – ages 8 and 11 – were captivated by the fabulous illustrations, and the rhyming text is just fun to read 🙂
